To be honest, with age, hair can be somewhat of a headache. It might get dull, become less dense or actually, defy all instructions to work properly. But fear not! There’s a simple solution that can make your life a whole lot easier: dry shampoo.
However, do you know what dry shampoo is, and why is this product beneficial for older hair?
Here’s your magic powder that effectively soaks up excess oil, give volume, and help keep your hair color bright. It’s a tiny refresher button when it comes to your hairstyl
Here’s a breakdown of how dry shampoo works:
Oil-absorbing power: By the time, we reach certain age, the glands in the hair scalp secrete lesser oil naturally but the hair can still become oily. Dry shampoo is like a mini vacuum cleaner, it just wicks up that extra oil on our scalps.
Volume boost: Have you ever wanted your hair to appear voluminous? To which the former can be helpful as well: dry shampoo. It could give your hair a fuller look by adding both texture and volume of the hair.
Color protection: If you have ever dyed your hair, you know how important is to maintain the color of your hair.
Another plus for dry shampoo is that by making one wash less frequently it can guard the color from fading away.
Time-saver: Well, let’s be real here: who has time for a wash and blow dry every day of the week?
Dry shampoo really does save the day when you are not in the mood to wash your hair or if you have little time to do so.
How to use dry shampoo:
1. Apply to roots: Turn the nozzle of the dry shampoo directly towards your scalp.
2. Massage in: Apply it on your hair and then rub it between your palms before applying it on your hair.
3. Brush through: Abrade the area using a brush so as to clear the powder and to spread the volumetric impact.
1.Amika Dry Shampoo
Love this
For years now Oribe dry shampoo has been my favorite mainly because of the scent and quality, but let’s face it, the product is a bit on the expensive side. This explains why I was interested in Amika’s Perk Up Dry Shampoo immediately I came across it. Also, would have cost $70 compared to only $28 for the cheap one.
I’ve been going through it for a number of weeks now . I am definitely impressed. It works well in providing for oil absorption at the roots without encountering the problem of leaving a crunchy feel. A little goes a long way, the spray is so fine that it blurs off into the hair.
For those of you that do not want to spend much on a dry shampoo I believe that Amika’s Perk Up Dry Shampoo is one of the best. It is so much better than the other more pricey options that I never felt the need to utilize any of them.
Batiste Texturizing Dry Shampoo: A Review
Guys and girls, today I will tell you about one of the products which I use for quite a time already and with which
I am more than inspired: Batiste Texturizing Dry Shampoo. It serves this purpose sufficiently to absorb the excess oil and give my hair the much needed bod. The beachy texture is really as it gets; I enjoy the aspect of having a naturally ‘shaggy/untidy’ look to the hair when using this spray.
Pros:
Effective: It makes nice work in employing this oil and at the same time offers volume.
Affordable: Batiste is less expensive that some of the other dry shampoo products.
Easy to use:That is where it happens when the spray is fine then it is fairly easy to deal with.mells good: I love the fresh scent.
Cons:
Can leave a white residue: Surprisingly, this is likely to give you a white comrades on your hair especially if you applied too much of it or did not rub it in well.
Not as long-lasting as some other brands: It is VERY effective at oil absorption but their staying powers may not be as long as with other dry shampoos present in the market.
At the end of the day, I am content with the Batiste Texturizing Dry Shampoo. Good product for the price, best for hair, at least there’s some change. Therefore if you are trying to find a dry shampoo that will give volume and texture, then maybe the line is for you?

Dry Shampoo Is Awesome: A Lesson in Aging Gracefully
Dry shampoo is now a beauty essential, and for a good reason. This can be a real savior when you don’t have time to wash your hair or you just want to create some volume or texture. : But that does not mean that dry shampoo cannot be used to gracefully grow old.
Review
Here’s why dry shampoo is a must-have for mature hair:
Absorbs excess oil: One natural alteration that is common with most people as they grow older is the change in quality and texture of their hair; the hair becomes drier and more brittle. Dry shampoo will then come in handy to help mop up the excess oil as you wait for the next wash with your hair looking fresh.
Adds volume: Dry shampoo can also be used to add bulk on the hair since it often tends to thin as it grows. Used appropriately it can make your hair look thick and fuller because it tends to soak up oil and add on the texture of your hair.
Protects hair color: Using of the dry shampoo is also beneficial in preventing the fading of hair color. Considering that dry shampoo does not wet your hair, there are no harsh chemicals, as well as no exposure to heat styling, both of which are bad for color.
Saves time: Less frequent showering using shampoo that is dry is convenient especially to those who have tight schedules. It gives you a chance to go through a day or even two without washing your hair while still being neat and presentable.
Tips for using dry shampoo!
Apply at the roots: Apply the dry shampoo straight at your roots on the areas that you usually produce excess oil.
Massage into hair: If regular shampoo is left in the hair it can cause the hair to build up a lot of flakes, so gently rub the dry shampoo in to make sure the powder is distributed evenly on the scalp.
Brush through: Combing your hair helps you to get rid of extra hair product and also brings out the volume of the hair.
Remember: These points about dry shampoo show that even though the product is already incredibly helpful, it should be applied sparingly. Using dry shampoo too often is worse as it accumulates on the hair and leaves it limp and lifeless.
Introducing dry shampoo into your beauty care regimen will go along way in ensuring that your hair does not fade, dull or become and look old.
